Norman Jaques – VIEW WORK – Sold
Norman C Jaques was born in Manchester and studied art and technology at the Manchester College of Art and Technology from 1937 to 1942. He was a Senior Lecturer in the Printmaking Department at Manchester Polytechnic from 1950 to 1982, where he worked for many years. In 1954, he received the V&A Museum’s Proctor and Giles bequest awards for block printing. He was a member of The Manchester Academy Of Fine Arts and The Manchester Art Club, as well as serving as their President. In addition to being a printer, he was an artist and book designer.
