Stephen has been painting for the last 20 years, first self-taught and then under the tutelage of renowned Delph Artist John McCombs for the last ten years. Painting the forms rather than the image, expressing the mark and the brush stroke to capture the emotion, mood, and atmosphere of the environment, greatly inspired by Constable’s outdoor oil studies and others.
