Bill Bell Art

Bill was born in Barrow-in-Furness, England, on April 20, 1928. At the age of 14, he dropped out of school and went to work at Barrow’s Vickers Shipyard.

 

Bell worked primarily in oil, with some pastel and watercolor work thrown in for good measure. For his 50-year career, he exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy, the Harris Museum, the Royal Academy of London, Abbot Hall, and MAFA, among others.

 

He was president of the Barrow Society of Artists and a member of the Lakes Art Society.
